Teaching children home skills is vitally important. So often we find "chore charts" but children cannot move forward and properly do chores without training. Home Skills Guide for Children is a progressive guide to teach children to clean certain areas in the home.
Includes 7 sections to clean/serve: ( 25 total pages )
- Porches and Entryways
- Clean bedrooms
- Tidy Kitchens
- Organizing Belongings
- Clean Bathrooms
- Living Areas
- Hospitality
Each "lesson" includes a leading thought to explain to the child the importance of that particular home skill PLUS a bonus section on decorating or organizing.
ALSO~ A letter to parents/educators
What age is this good for? Children as young as 2 can begin learning to put away toys, put the blanket over their crib/bed to "make the bed"...however most of these skills will be appropriate for children 5 and over. It is hard to pin down an exact age, as all children are different. The GOAL is to begin training in these skills with young children. One section may take a full 3 months to complete. That's okay. Children will eventually be able to complete these tasks with ease!!!
